LES MISERABLES - Final Essay

A character that is dynamic would be someone who has a good/bad personality at the beginning of the book; then has a change throughout the book. A dynamic character from the book would be Jean Valjean. He is a dynamic character because he had not had much money to feed his sister and her family after her husband had left her. Jean did not want her kids to starve even though they went behind their mother's back and get food without her knowing. He did want any person wold do for their family to eat; he stole bread. Throughout the book, Jean Valjean had changed a lot. When he was in prison, after getting caught stealing the bread; he came to a realization that the world was cruel. Jean had tried escaping prison so many times but he didn't succeed. After spending thirteen year being locked up in prison had got tired of trying to get out. Jean had changed and it was different about him. In the book it says, " Jean Valjean entered the alley sobbing and trembling; he left harden

CALLING MY SHOT

I feel like I would do fine but just not great. I honesty wish I would do great but at some times where I have an essay due its hard for me to concentrate on it even though I may know what to write. I struggled with this last year in English when we had finals on a book we read which I understood but it came to the essay and he gave us some days before to start but I couldn't finish it until the day of the final; which I had barely finished when the bell rang. I have been studying the lit terms and I've understood the book, but I feel like I wont do good on the exam or final.

SOMETHINGS ON MY MIND 12/12

something that has been on my mind was the finals exam for all my classes. Some of my classes are easy to pass but others are difficult to pass. The only thing I am worried about is failing a class because it would look really bad on my resume which would be bad because I planned on going to a UC/CSU university right after high school. I try my best to study but sometimes I have a hard time understanding the topic in class. I just plan on trying my best. That was something going on in my mind.

LURKING LIT TECHNIQUES

Studying the lit terms has helped me understand more of the situations for example, a rising action situation was where the author told us about John Valjean after he treated the boy but and then it hit him and he cried. the author then changed the subject which made us the reader want to skip until we get back to John Valjean. Another situation the lit term helped me understand was that the author writes every chapter's name with a hint what the chapter may be about. Another situation in the reading was an exposition of a different situation that was happening during the author talking about John Valjean.

HERE'S YOUR SILVER

The bishop's reaction did not surprise me, he had been nice to John Valjean and even though the bishop did not know him he still helped him

INCITING INCIDENT 12/4

After reading all the exposition in Les Mes, it was interesting  reading the action . The bishop may havr know it would be possible to happen yet he welcomed him any way . And it was exciting because after the chapter I wanted to know what would happen next. Shocking news he did steal the silver wear knowing he was welcomed, it made me more curious of him .

MY SEMESTER GOAL

What I want to accomplish/ learn between now and finals is to understand the book really well. I want to learn in the others perspective and mine. How and why would the author write a book long and is it significant to people ? .. and also learn new ways to find out about the book. To get a good grade on the final is another goal. How I plan on achieving the goal is to be really focused on the book and get everything from both perspectives. The book is a really good novel so far but it is somewhat hard to understand it .
