BOOK VS. LES MIS

The experience reading the book was interesting, and I didn't think I would read a book like Les Mis. it had so many interesting details about it and everything was amazing. I have not read a book like that in a while. The difference between the book and movie is the detail, since I got interested in the details even though some details were just simple it lead to something bigger. In the movie it had a few details that were the same from the book but it is still am amazing movie. When I read a book I try to visualize it and it was nothing compared to what I thought would happen, it was way better; but less details. Still both are amazing.

BOOK VS. LES MIS MOVIE 5/29

The difference between the book and the movie is the details, dialogue, and music. In the movie the characters are singing their parts instead of saying the actual words from the book but it is a movie so if it were exactly like the book it would be a 5-6 hours movie. Obviously the book does not have music in it but it would be the same if the narrator read the book like it was meant to be read. If it is laughing or crying etc. The details are so different, the book has to have more details than a movie because you can take your time reading the book and knowing all the details. Like I said it would take up to 5 - 6 hours if both had the same details. I think the director only puts what is necessary for the person who watches the movie to know and not add much of the details that is not really necessary. Both the book and movie are really interesting.

MY BEST WRITING

I have a writers conference coming up with Dr. Preston, and I am excited to go over "writing about life and death" and "those who do not seek do not see ". I chose these two pieces because I have had an opinion on these post. There have been other post but these I had some big opinions and questions about it. I understood the post well that I could go on and wonder what will happen. For example, in "those who do not seek, do not see.", there are so many people who do not help those people in need, how do they expect the w

MONKEY SEE/HEAR/DO

The learning modality that is most effectice is visual & kinesthetic for the topic. For auditory i will try to speak loud and clear. will make a slideshow for the visual and as a kinesthetic for my topic I will make some volunteers try to make them do some thinking and participate in some activites that gets their mood to change. And ask about what they feel and how their mood changes.

ESAY DU JEAN VALJEAN

In the book Les Miserable, Jean Valjean began his journey viewed as a criminal. He wanted his sister and her children to eat but went to prison for years and they forget about him. Later, in the book the author talks about his journey after prison.   Jean Valjean is a dynamic character because throughout meeting people like the bishop he realized he had no motive to be the same person he was before. In the book eh has a big impact on him that truly changes him. All Jean Valjean wanted was to be a changed man and not a “criminal” hat everyone thought; so, he did. People thought that since he made a mistake and become a criminal, that he would be that way all his life. Jean Valjean had made so many generous deeds and asked for nothing in return, they people wanted to make him mayor. It all came to him having to be the mayor and going around giving money to those in need, and his only reason for all he did was because of the bishop. The bishop did not question him when he arrive...

IGNITE TALK!!

My Big Question is how do emotions work in the brain? Many people go through rough times or good times and it's an interesting thing to want to know what kind of emotions go through the brain and how they work. I have researched online about the brain and the emotions we feel throughout the day we have or situations were in. Our emotions enable us to react to situations we are in. A connection I found was that Jean Valjean arrived at the church and all he wanted was for cosette to be safe, well for every parent or any person would want to keep loved ones safe so if you feel fear your heart starts racing and would do anything to keep them safe. It made me wonder how it works. What I plan on doing next would be to research more about the brain because it can be the brain or body that recognizes emotions. One thing I learned is that one of the key areas that the brain deals with to recognize, showing, and control of the body's reactions to emotions is known as the limbic syste...

WEEKEND GOALS

What I will do this weekend to show what I have learned so far is to put more writing in each blog post or make a post about a summary of the book; that I have understood so far.

JEAN VALJEAN IN A/NOTHER STRANGE SITUATION 4/04

Rouse : out of sleep;awaken Recoil: draw back Loquacity: the quality of talkign a great deal Awning: a sheet of canvas or other material stretched Jean Valjean had been running away from Javert again and when he got as far as possible he had run into Fauchelevent, who he had helped when he was mayor and now Fauchelevent is returning the favor.

ENDGAME

What I would want to learn in this class is anything else Mr. Preston could teach; because I have learned so much this semester even though I have not been up to date with posting the blog posts, but I learn many new things everyday. I did not think I would get a class that would make a big impact to me, I mean every class has it's own thing that I learn from and I understand but this class has been the greatest yet. I would want to learn more about the book we are reading because it is interesting, I thought we would be like every other english class, of course different teaching but to read the same books. Then I find out we are reading a massive book and I was fine with that, I love reading new books, that I had never heard about.

A SENSE OF PLACE 3/29

I think that the author Hugo starts with detailed description of the setting because he wants the reader to know the setting may be important later on or when he tells the story he had told us where they are and what that place was. I agree that the scene of history and place is important to us because it was during or before the civil war. He also adds information based on real life on what had occured or what they did. Some places that are important to me are in different situations you can say because I have many places that have helped me. A place is a tennis court any I guess you can say because even though it's something small, playing tennis has helped me so much with everything going on in my life, where I thought I did not have a place where I felt like it was all fine. Just playing made me forget about all things that I was worried about. This place did have a big impact on my life because I had somewhere to be, like I wasn't worried everywhere I went.

MY ONLINE ME 3/27

When I searched myself on the internet I did not find anything about myself. It was mostly other ladies that are working at hospitals or have a good job.

IT'S MY LIFE 3/26

We manage the choices in our lives that we control by deciding what we know is best for us. The decisions about the things that help make anyone powerful and successful is to just do it. No one stops you just yourself. Their may be people who see you succeed and they try to stop you. The decision you make is to choose the right thing to do. It makes you more powerful because no one controls what you can look like or dress or do, it's your own choice.

GOOD MORNING 3/25

A routine I learned to do every morning or habit to success is too, have a positive thinking about everyday and if it is not good, then try harder the next day. I think a routine would then get boring, well for me. A routine that may help for a time would be togetting up, get ready, then do the job or work great. I have a routine to get ready for school and I honestly I continue to do the routine because I get used to the time and know when to get up.

RE/MIND ME 3/22

This mornings mindfulness caught my eye. I had been scrolling through instagram and I saw the quote and once I entered the class I was astonished because it was the last post I saw before going to sleep. I can carry this sense of mindfulness into the rest of my life by just examining each sentence of the poem because even if it's just some words in the sentence, it actually has a powerful meaning. Well for me I would think about what the poem is saying to the reader, once you actually read it carefully because anyone can read a poem.

READING ME 3/19

I sometimes do read when I'm not at school. Since I decided to take an interest in the medical field, I started reading books about the anatomy, diseases and the brain. I can also look it up on the internet but reading it in books is easier for me because I have always loved reading books. What I read is mostly any book that is mystery, romance, or action; like the book being exciting because I love solving the mystery or what may happen next and it keeps me on my toes. I have read 4 books about one story and it was probably romance but it was a good book.

BQ THOUGHTS

For my big question I did not have one when we had to write it down, but what got me wondering these days for my big question, is how do babies or pets get used to their name ? Aside from always being called a name but how do they know at a young age to know what to listen for or how do they know thats their name is without us telling them ?.  And I just thought about it because I have a newborn sister and it got me thinking about her growing up, how will she know her name ?. The same goes for pets, what if there are more pets how do they know what their name is ??! Or how do they get used to it? Thats my big question.

I READ 400

Reading 400 pages is a lot and it feels good, I didn't think we would get this far but I also think we can read more pages by the end of the school year. Before starting school, I would wonder what we would do in English class and I never thought we would be reading this kind of book. It's interesting in my opinion; it has an exciting part then the author takes some chapters and changes the subject. It keeps you on the edge wanting to know more. Ii mostly thought we would read smaller books and more writing, but I love the class. I wouldn't want a different class if I chose too.

LIFE WITH COSETTE

The experiences Cosette has had growing up is terrible they had treated her wrong and abused of her as in putting her to work, take care of the Thenadeniers kids and also getting water no matter the time. She didn't deserve to go through all that at the age of 14 and growing up. As a young girl when she just arrived the Thenadeniers had sold her clothes for their kids and left Cosette to wear so little clothes.

REQUEST FOR FEEDBACK

Hi, thanks for taking time to visit my post. If you've read my Lit Circle Doc, can you please leave a comment? I'm interested in your feedback, questions and suggestions. Thank you:).

MR. NICE GUY

What the moment it can offer to the people that do the nice things is that they may have the need to just be kind and not ignore that person. For example, if I see someone in need to talk about anything and they feel alone; for some people it's a kind thing to do. I would feel like I helped someone. I think for most people, the moment it can offer is just feeling for someone, not everyone is nice in the world. I think they would feel like they did something that not the whole world does the majority of the time. I think you can become a nice person by acting nice; if you really mean it. I think that because you become different when you do nice things, you would have a different perspective. If your just being mean and not be nice to people, your just cruel; you may not care about others. For example, in Les Mis, Jean Valjean was a mean and cruel many because he was treated bad. Then, when the Bishop was nice and caring for him he had changed the way he did everything and how he tr...
